This year’s convention brought together hospital administrators, physicians, nurses, procurement professionals, legal experts, and financial advisors to discuss the future of healthcare in Puerto Rico.

As part of the firm’s continued engagement with the sector, Julio A. Galíndez, Special Outsourced Consultant for Galíndez LLC, participated in a discussion on the future of Puerto Rico’s hospital sector, sharing insights from decades of experience supporting healthcare institutions across the island. Partner Henry Flores, CPA, contributed with a presentation on strategic procurement, emphasizing how financial and operational efficiency are key to hospital sustainability. Meanwhile, Audit & Assurance Director Taireli Hidalgo, CPA, served as moderator for the HFMA session on healthcare finance and sustainability, facilitating a robust dialogue on evolving financial practices and best governance models in healthcare.

As noted by the Association’s Executive President, Jaime Plá Cortés, the event successfully united experts in medicine, law, and technology to advance dialogue on improving patient care and strengthening the local healthcare system.
