Medicare Provider Enrollment
- We assist Part A and B providers in the Medicare Program enrollment process by submitting appropriate CMS forms and providing subsequent follow up with the Fiscal Intermediary until the Medicare certification is approved.
- We help clients navigate the renewal process by submitting all necessary CMS forms and following up until its completion.
Cost Reporting
- Preparation (or direct assistant during the preparation and filing) of Medicare Cost Reports. These are annual requirements for Medicare-certified providers, which must be submitted to a qualified Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC). MACs are multi-state, regional contractors responsible for administering both Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B claims. The current MAC for Puerto Rico is First Coast Service Options, Inc. (FCSO).
- We work with FCSO and provide direct assistance to our clients during tentative settlements, amendments, desk reviews, full audits, final settlements and reopening of any Medicare Cost Report.
Compliance Analysis
- We keep our clients updated with the latest news from CMS and FCSO.
- We analyze base rates by geographic area (based on the final rule each Federal Fiscal Year) to provide accurate calculations and publish these findings to our clients subject to the Inpatient Prospective Payment Systems (IPPS).
- We provide assessments of the additional reimbursement concepts under the IPPS methodology as Bad debts, Disproportionate Share (DSH), Uncompensated Care Payment, End Stage Renal Dialysis (ESRD), and Medical Education Programs.
- Calculation and direct assistance for the application process for Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentives under the Medicaid and Medicare Program.
- Assistance in the enrollment and request of the Provider Statistical and Reimbursement System (PS&R) for Medicare providers.
Training and Other Support
- We host seminars regarding CMS regulations of third-party reimbursement
- Our team provides direct support with all issues with FCSO in the Provider and Reimbursement Department (PARD).
