Galíndez LLC recently hosted two in-house training seminars designed to support the continued professional development of its audit and tax teams. These sessions focused on areas of high technical relevance, including construction audits, asset-based lending (ABL), pension plan audits, single audits, and current tax updates. The events reflect the firm’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its internal expertise and maintaining consistent, high-quality service for clients across all sectors.

The first seminar took place on May 22 at Universidad Universal and was geared toward the Audit Department. Led by senior professionals from within Galíndez, the sessions addressed three critical audit areas. Construction audit training covered the complexities of revenue recognition and contract evaluation within the industry. The ABL component focused on structuring and evaluating lending arrangements secured by assets—an area with increasing significance for both lenders and borrowers. The pension plan segment addressed key aspects of ERISA compliance and audit procedures, reinforcing the team’s approach to these regulated engagements.

On June 19, a second seminar was held at the Rotary Club of Río Piedras. This event brought together both the audit and tax departments for a full day of focused learning. The audit team participated in a single audit seminar centered on federal compliance requirements, including updates on Uniform Guidance and audit documentation standards. Meanwhile, the tax department received updates on regulatory developments, planning considerations, and procedural changes relevant to both corporate and individual clients. The session helped clarify how evolving rules can shape tax strategy and client communication moving forward.
