Galíndez LLC takes pride in the hard work of our team of outstanding professionals and their success in 2024. To commemorate that, we recently celebrated the holiday season with an unforgettable party at the beautiful Club Nautico of San Juan that included a special tribute to honor the remarkable career of Partner Julio Galíndez.

The evening began with a warm Caribbean welcome featuring sangría and traditional piraguas with a festive “pitorro” twist, setting the tone for the night ahead. Guests mingled and enjoyed the lively atmosphere as the party got underway.

This year’s celebration held special significance as the firm recognized Julio Galíndez’s retirement after more than 40 years of dedicated service to the financial industry. Julio has been a driving force in bringing Galíndez LLC to its impactful position today. Joined by the entire group of Partners, Managing Partner Rafi Nieves took the lead in sharing heartfelt thoughts and memories about Julio’s contributions and legacy.

The dance floor was sizzling throughout the evening, with live music and many willing participants who showed their best moves to the beat of the best of latin music. Adding a vibrant element of our Puerto Rican culture, the party featured “pleneros,” “zanqueros” (stilt walkers), and “cabezudos”. Delicious traditional food was served, including a complete “Lechon a la varita” and a late-night “sopon de gandules,” showing off why Puerto Rico is known for celebrating the longest holiday season of any other country.

Multiple opportunities were available to preserve the memories of this special evening, with a professional photographer roaming the room, a 360-degree photo booth, and even a special voice recording station to preserve a message for Julio to listen back to in the years to come. These snapshots of important events like this are significant to the firm and to each of our individual members as they can reflect on what the Galíndez culture is all about.

More than simply a holiday gathering, this year’s event provided a valuable opportunity for the Galíndez LLC team to connect, celebrate Julio’s remarkable career, and collectively reflect on the year’s accomplishments, strengthening the bonds that make the firm so successful as we embark on a new year.
