New Training Space Opens at Galíndez with 2025 Tax Seminar

With tax law constantly evolving, staying ahead requires more than updates—it requires dedicated space for learning. This month, Galíndez LLC’s Tax Department launched its new in-house training room with a comprehensive seminar designed to bring clarity and alignment to the team ahead of the 2025 filing season.

The seminar featured internal instructors from various departments. It marked the first use of Galíndez’s newly designed training space, a room purpose-built to host technical sessions, promote collaboration, and strengthen the firm’s culture of shared expertise.

The opening session was led by Managing Partner Kenneth Rivera, CPA, Esq., alongside Tax Senior Andrea Martínez, Esq. Together, they kicked off the day with a strategic overview of the 2025 tax landscape, sharing insight on current challenges, upcoming adjustments, and regulatory shifts.

Eric Gotay, Tax Supervising Senior, and Orlando Algarín, Tax Senior, followed with a practical session on pass-through entities. Their presentation included a detailed walk-through of taxation fundamentals, updates under Act 52-2022, changes for the 2024 return, and the occupational tax under Section 1071.10, reinforced by hands-on exercises to encourage application and understanding.

Later in the day, Tax Manager Edgardo Rosa, CPA, led a Tax Refresher focused on corporate returns for 2024. The session offered a concise but valuable review of compliance considerations, key timelines, and filing strategies.

Beyond the content, the use of the new training room marked an essential step for Galíndez. This dedicated space will now enable departments to host more frequent workshops and seminars, enhancing access to technical development within the firm’s walls.

By combining internal expertise with a new environment for learning, Galíndez LLC continues to build strength from within, equipping its professionals with the tools they need to serve clients better and meet the demands of a dynamic regulatory landscape.
