Galíndez LLC was honored to be part of the XXXVI Tax Forum, hosted by the Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Accountants, on February 27 at the Puerto Rico Convention Center. Several of our partners and team members attended this key event, reinforcing our long-standing commitment to supporting the Society and staying at the forefront of tax developments that impact our clients and businesses across the island.

 

This year’s forum featured special participation from Hon. Ángel Pantoja, Secretary of the Puerto Rico Department of Treasury, and Hon. Sebastián Negrón Reichard, Secretary of the Department of Economic Development and Commerce. The discussions covered crucial topics, including the ongoing tax reform in Puerto Rico, recent projects and changes within the Department of Treasury, and IRS initiatives on the island. Attendees also received updates on new legislation, administrative pronouncements, and key municipal tax developments relevant to the 2024 tax year.
