Galíndez Brings Its Healthcare Perspective to the XXVI Foro Industria de la Salud

Healthcare leaders, executives, and accounting professionals gathered at the Puerto Rico Convention Center for the XXVI Foro Industria de la Salud, presented by the Colegio de Contadores Públicos Autorizados de Puerto Rico (CCPA). Held on August 6, the forum created an opportunity to examine some of the financial, operational, and strategic issues currently affecting Puerto Rico’s healthcare system.

Galíndez LLC participated as a sponsor of the event, with members of the firm contributing to the program and joining healthcare professionals from across the Island for the day’s discussions.

The forum addressed topics ranging from financial resilience and healthcare financing to rising pharmaceutical costs, payment reform, and the growing use of artificial intelligence, technology, and data in healthcare operations. Sessions also explored opportunities to improve operational and financial performance and the evolving role of CPAs as strategic advisors to healthcare organizations.

Henry Flores, CPA, Partner at Galíndez LLC, served as moderator for the session “Excelencia Operacional: Optimización del ciclo de admisión, facturación y cobro (ABC).” The panel focused on strategies healthcare institutions can use to strengthen operational and financial efficiency, with perspectives from leaders representing Triple-S Puerto Rico and Mennonite Health System.

Julio A. Galíndez, CPA, Outsourced Consultant at Galíndez LLC, participated in the closing panel, “Reinventando la Salud: Impulsando la eficiencia del sistema y el CPA como asesor estratégico de transformación.” Drawing from his extensive history in the profession and his legacy with Galíndez, Julio joined healthcare and financial leaders in a discussion about the CPA’s role in organizational transformation and the long-term sustainability of the healthcare sector.
