Galíndez LLC was proud to participate in the recent Charity Golf Tournament hosted by the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s (HFMA) Puerto Rico Chapter at the beautiful Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Resort. As both sponsors and participants, our team stepped onto the green not just for a day of friendly competition but for a greater purpose—supporting the CAP Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

CAP, a non-profit organization established in 1989, is dedicated to ensuring that every child battling cancer in Puerto Rico has access to top-tier medical treatment without having to leave the island. The foundation provides funding for state-of-the-art equipment, facility improvements, and essential support services for patients and their families. Importantly, 100% of the funds raised stay in Puerto Rico, directly benefiting children receiving treatment at the Dr. Antonio Ortiz Pediatric University Hospital in Centro Médico.

This year’s tournament was a huge success, raising an incredible $30,000 to support CAP’s mission. Galíndez LLC was well represented by partners Héctor Vázquez, Leví Villegas, and Rafi Nieves as players, while Iris Otero and Julio Galíndez played key roles in coordinating the event. Many other firm members contributed to ensure the day ran smoothly and showed up to cheer on our team.

The tournament concluded with a trophy presentation recognizing winners across various contests, including Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin. The trophies were handcrafted pieces of artwork, making them a truly special reward for the day’s champions. In addition to the trophies, participants had the chance to win other prizes throughout the event, adding to the excitement and camaraderie of the day.

At Galíndez LLC, we are deeply committed to giving back to our community, and we are so thankful to have played even a small part in getting much-needed funds to children battling cancer in Puerto Rico. Our firm has long supported various charitable organizations that uplift and empower those in need, and events like these continue to inspire our team to maintain a culture of generosity and service.
