The Future of Accounting Took Center Stage at the CCU Convention

The future of the accounting profession was on full display during the 18th Annual Accounting Students Convention, where students from across Puerto Rico came together to learn, connect, and explore the opportunities ahead within the industry.

Galíndez recently participated as a sponsor of the convention, organized by the Comité de Capítulos Universitarios (CCU) of the Colegio de Contadores Públicos Autorizados de Puerto Rico and held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dorado del Mar Beach Resort.

Under the theme “Empowering Leaders, Innovating the Future,” the convention brought together approximately 300 accounting students from universities across Puerto Rico, along with professionals and industry representatives, for a weekend centered on professional development, leadership, and innovation within the accounting profession.

Representing Galíndez during the event were Eduardo Amaro, CPA, and Eduardo Solivan, who participated alongside students and professionals throughout the convention activities. As in previous years, Galíndez was proud to continue supporting this initiative and the opportunities it creates for future professionals entering the field.

The convention featured a full academic and networking agenda, including discussions focused on career development, artificial intelligence in accounting, the CPA journey, and the evolving role of the profession across industries. Students also participated in networking opportunities, university presentations, and recognition segments highlighting academic achievement and student involvement.

For Galíndez, supporting initiatives like this underscores the importance of investing in the profession’s future and maintaining strong connections between students and the accounting community in Puerto Rico.

We congratulate the CCU and everyone involved in the successful execution of this year’s convention.
