13 Nov Ethics, AI, and Quality: Galíndez LLC’s In-House Seminar
At Galíndez LLC, professional growth doesn’t stop at technical expertise. It extends to understanding how innovation and ethics intersect in the evolving accounting landscape. Recently, the firm’s team gathered at the Club Rotario de Río Piedras for an in-house seminar focused on two essential themes: the ethical use of artificial intelligence in accounting practice and the implementation of SQMS No. 1, A Firm’s System of Quality Management.
The seminar was led by Kenneth Rivera, CPA, Esq., Tax Partner; Luis Corrada, CPA, Audit Partner; and Andrea Martínez, Esq., Tax Senior Supervisor, who guided discussions on the responsibilities that come with technological advancements and the standards that safeguard quality in every engagement.
The first session examined how artificial intelligence is transforming the accounting profession—enhancing efficiency and analysis—while also raising concerns about ethics, confidentiality, and professional accountability. The conversation centered on how the responsible use of AI must always be grounded in integrity and human judgment.
The second presentation examined the new risk-based quality management framework under SQMS No. 1, highlighting how proactive systems, strong leadership, and firm-wide awareness ensure consistent audit quality and compliance. The session emphasized that maintaining excellence is not just a matter of procedure—it’s a cultural commitment.
Together, both sessions reflected the firm’s commitment to learning, adaptation, and maintaining the highest ethical and quality standards that define Galíndez LLC’s reputation across Puerto Rico’s professional and financial community.
